Creating women groups for development of women, family guidance in the Central Jail for Women, short term housing for women in trouble, housing for aged women and more under the Domestic Violence law 2005.
Also skill training for young women is conducted with the help of Central Government.
Under the Tamil Nadu Women's Scheme we have been giving training to women in various skills in Vellore, Kaniyampadi, Katpadi and surrounding towns and villages for the past 6 year and we have created 1700 groups so far.
Under the Tamil Nadu Women's Plan for 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 we created 698 groups and helped in their development.
Under the Tamil Nadu Women's Plan for 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 we trained 698 groups over 6 days and we distributed Rs. 25,12,800 to these groups.
Under the Tamil Nadu Women's Plan for 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 we distributed Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 31200000 to 520 groups as Soozhal Nidhi.
Under the Tamil Nadu Women's Plan for 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 we gave Rs. 26800000 as loans to 67 groups who wished to start producing embroidery, napkins and start beauty parlours.
Under the Tamil Nadu Women's Plan for 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 we gave loans from 3 to 5 lakhs for a total of 18 crores from Indian Bank and HDFC Bank.
60 group members were trained and we helped them get bank loans to start working under the Tamil Nadu Women's Plan for 2009-2010 and 2010-2011.

21 women groups who received help under the Tamil Nadu Women's Scheme trained 308 women under the SGSY scheme for 2010-2011 in napkin manufacturing. We have helped them get a total of Rs. 6300000 as loan amount from banks to start their business.
With the help of the Tamil Nadu Women's Scheme 2010-2011 30 young masons were given training to start working in the Tamil Nadu Housing plan.
In the Vellore Central Jail for Women, the inmates were given family advice to deal with harassment from husbands or in-laws. We provide counselling for women who have made mistakes and lost their way so that they can recover and come to a normal emotional state. This scheme comes under the Central Social Welfare scheme 2001-2002 and was started by the District Collector and for the past 7 years we have helped 5700 women.
Women who have domestic problems due to husbands/in-laws, unwed mothers, women who are forced into child marriage etc. can come to us and we provide help and counselling for them. This scheme has helped over 4500 women over the past 10 years and it was started by the District Collector in 2001-2002.
With support from Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, we run an old age home and provide residents with food, clothing, housing and medicine. 27 old women benefit from this scheme.
To prevent violence against women the Domestic Violence Act of 2005 was created and we were chosen as the organization to provide support to victims for Vellore district. Women affected in mind, body, heart or finance are provided counselling and legal help.
We also provide accommodation, financial support to run their family, acquiring custody of children and protection. This scheme has been functioning from 2007-2008 and about 1152 cases have been registered. 207 of these cases are in court and 46 among these have been closed. For 74 cases we have provided family counselling under section 14.
We would also like to inform you that we are also involved in Tamil Nadu Women's Scheme, Central Social Welfare and other schemes for the welfare of women.
